What the Brewery Says: "Our brewmaster Keith has always wanted to brew a beer that paired well with his favorite Thai dishes. He landed on using lemongrass and basil, but a mixup in the order yielded the brewery a bunch of extra basil. Instead of letting it go to waste, Keith added it in just to see what would happen. The outcome was a roundhouse kick of basil with a citrus punch that worked so well it left Keith literally Tongue Thai-ed."

My Thoughts: To start on a positive note, this is certainly one of the more interesting beers I've ever tried. Props to Blue Moon for trying something unique and different.
With that being said, I ended up dumping the beer down the drain part of the way through my glass. I found it to be completely undrinkable.
It started out so nice. The beer was a very pretty rose-tinted orange color, and I was expecting something refreshing with hints of the basil and lemongrass. Instead I was beaten to death by these flavors. This beer is basically liquid basil with an overwhelming note of sourness that turns sweet upon swallowing. It was basically like drinking sweet and sour sauce with a shot of basil. It was not a pleasant experience for me.
Maybe it's good with food, but I did not find it to be good by itself. My advice: don't even bother thai-ing it.
